In The Spotlight

 Kent Padgett

Occupation: Toxicology Specialist

Kent Padgett is the Truck Company Captain for the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department. This makes him responsible for ensuring all Truck Company operations and equipment are certified before responding on emergency calls, as well as managing operations at emergency incidents.

Captain Padgett is also the department's Secretary/Treasurer. In the past 15years of service, he has served the department in other capacities, including Lieutenant.

Captain Padgett is married and has three children. He is also the brother of Deputy Chief Padgett, and the uncle of five department firefighters. He is employed as a toxicology specialist which has him traveling all over the state, as well as some surrounding states.He is very active in the Colfax Summer Sports program, where he was very instrumental in a recent revitilzation project, which completely changed the landscape of the park.

Tthank you Captain Padgett for your dedication to serve the citizens of Colfax and Perry Township. It is people such as you, which make our community a better place.
